"Doctor Who" hit series 50th anniv. special unveils 1st dramatic promo (video)

PanARMENIAN.Net - BBC has unleashed the first trailer for "Doctor Who" 50th anniversary special called "The Day of the Doctor". Narrated by the current Doctor played by Matt Smith, the promo video includes shots of past Doctors in action, AceShowbiz said.

"Now the time has come to face the choices I've made in the name of the Doctor," he says, "our future depends on one single moment of one impossible day." The 11th Doctor continues, "The day I've been running from all my life - The day of the Doctor," before taking a Sonic Screwdriver.

"The Day of the Doctor" will air simultaneously in countries around the world on November 23. David Tennant, who played the tenth Doctor, and Billie Piper, who portrayed the tenth Doctor's companion Rose Tyler, will return. John Hurt also stars as a myterious past incarnation of the Doctor.

A new teaser image for the 75-minute special has just been released as well, featuring all eleven incarnations of the Doctor together.
