Foxconn hiring 100,000 workers for new iPhone production: reportJuly 18, 2014 - 11:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Taiwan-based EMS provider Foxconn Electronics is recruiting 100,000 production line workers aged 23-40 for its factory in Zhengzhou City of Henan Province, northern China, mainly for production of Apple's new iPhone, according to a media report from China, DigiTimes says. Foxconn recorded imports worth $1 billion, mainly handset components, for the factory in June, the chinanew.com report cited the provincial government as indicating. The factory produced 42.9 million handsets in the first half of 2014 and the provincial government hopes that the factory can reach output of 120 million iPhones and 30 million handsets for other vendors in 2014.
