October 1 ANPP to Be Stopped for Refueling

PanARMENIAN.Net - October 1, 2006 the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant will be stopped for refueling, ANPP Director General Gagik Markosyan said. In his words, within some 45 days a part of the equipment will be repaired and metal condition will be checked.



The ANPP will be as usual filled up with the fuel supplied by Russia. At that the price has not changed. "During 45 days 6 urgent measures for raising the safety of the Nuclear Power Plant will be carried out jointly with EU Technical Assistance Program TACIS and the U.S. Energy Department," Markosyan said, reported Novosti-Armenia.
