Istanbul Film Fest to feature Parajanov’s "Color of Pomegranates"February 10, 2015 - 15:28 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian director Sergei Parajanov’s Color of Pomegranates will go on screen in Turkey as part of the Istanbul Independent Film Festival. The cultural event, entitled İf , will run from 26 February to March 1. The films included in the program will be presented in the town of Izmir and capital Ankara. Mehmet Acar, a publicist of Haberturk, strongly recommended "Color of Pomegranate" among 10 films worth watching, Tert.am reports. "The 1968 movie follows the life of the 18th century Armenian poet and musician Sayat Nova. The movie, which has become a source of inspiration for many directors, is today considered classics.
