LG's G4 smartphone to feature a 5.5-inch QHD LCD displayApril 4, 2015 - 11:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - LG has revealed the display for its LG G4 smartphone ahead of the handset's official launch later this month, according to Digital Spy. The South Korean firm has announced that the flagship device will sport a 5.5-inch QHD LCD panel with a 1,440 x 2,560 resolution and 538 pixels per inch. The G4 promises to display more accurate and richer colours than other smartphones thanks to its 120% colour gamut, which LG achieved by combining a blue LED chip with red and green phosphors. By comparison, the 5.5-inch screen on the iPhone 6 Plus has a colour gamut of 100%. LG also claims that the G4's display boasts a contrast ratio that is 50% higher than other QHD panels and is 30% brighter, with no additional power consumption. The company's Display arm has incorporated a technology called Advanced In-Cell Touch into the panel, making it sensitive enough to respond to touch commands even when wet. LG will announce the LG G4 at a press conference on April 28. Top stories Yerevan will host the 2024 edition of the World Congress On Information Technology (WCIT).
