Dane DeHaan, Cara Delevingne to star in Luc Besson sci-fi "Valerian"May 13, 2015 - 10:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne will star in upcoming Luc Besson sci-fi saga "Valerian". Luc used his first tweets on Tuesday, May 12 to announce that he would be writing and directing the movie which is adapted from a French science-fiction graphic novel, AveShowbiz reports. Luc wrote, "My first tweet ever! Let's share a real news! My next film is a big sci-fi: #Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets." He followed it up with Dane and Cara's photos, captioning it, "Starring @danedehaan & @Caradelevingne. Shooting in December. In theaters 2017." The "Lucy" director also shared the first logo of the movie. Luc posted on Facebook that he "have around 800 days of work ahead of me, plenty of time to be discouraged or feel lonely, so I'm counting on your support. I will try to share my adventure with you as much as I can. So... I go back to work, talk to you soon." Dane will portray the time travelling Valerian while Cara will play his sidekick Laureline. Valerian and Laureline are agents of the Spatio-Temporal Service which protects the planets of the Terran Empire. The graphic novel, which was written by Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mezieres in 1967, is set in the 28th century. It has sold more than 10 million copies in 21 languages.
