"The Fugitive" action remake in the works at Warner Brothers

PanARMENIAN.Net - A new take on the classic action movie "The Fugitive" is in the works at Warner Brothers. Christina Hodson who lands her scripts on 2012 and 2013 Black List is tapped to write the screenplay. Original producers Arnold and Anne Kopelson return for the remake, AceShowbiz reports.

The original movie adapted from a 1960s television series of the same name came out in 1993 with Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones as the lead actors. It follows a doctor who is wrongfully accused of his wife's murder and is running for his life as he tries to prove his innocence.

The movie was both a commercial and critical success. Jones won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor and went on to reprise his role in a 1998 sequel "U.S. Marshals". A TV remake was also made in 2000 with Tim Daly and Mykelti Williamson but it's canceled after one season.
