Microsoft axing some of Lumia apps

PanARMENIAN.Net - There is no room on Windows 10 Mobile for some of the Lumia camera and photo apps Microsoft inherited when it bought out Nokia last year, Digital Spy reports.

This is bad news for fans of Lumia Storyteller, Lumia Beamer, Photobeamer and Lumia Refocus, as they are set to become casualties of the new operating system.

All of the above will no longer have online services available or be updated after October 30.

Lumia Panorama and Video Uploader will continue to work if you have already downloaded them, but update and support is ending on the same date.

These apps are being pulled from the Windows Phone Store, but Microsoft isn't about to remotely access your smartphone and wipe them from there.

Microsoft is said to be working towards a unified camera and photo experience for Windows 10, which is expected to arrive on phones before the end of the year.
