PanARMENIAN.Net - Toshiba unveiled its ultra-compact Satellite Click 10 laptop with a detachable screen that makes it into a tablet. It is the latest example of how tiny and fast Toshiba can make its Windows 10 computers, VentureBeat reports.
The 2-in-1 PC is designed for Windows 10 and it has a 10.1-inch diagonal screen with 1,900 x 1,200 resolution. The multi-touch display supports full HD 1080p content, and it weighs just 1.2 pounds as a tablet, and it’s a third of an inch thick. As a laptop, it weighs 2.2 pounds. As such, it is 30 percent small and 50 percent lighter than a typical laptop.
That is a pretty small size for a laptop. It is powered by the Intel Atom x5 64-bit processor. It has a high-resolution 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front webcam for video chatting and taking photos. It has a multi-directional TruTalk microphones and dedicated Cortana key to easily call up Microsoft’s personal digital assistant.
It also comes with 2 gigabytes of random access memory, a micro HDMI port, micro SD slot, and two USB 2.0 ports. It has options for 32 gigabytes or 64GB of flash memory.
“We’ve created a highly portable, versatile PC that can move easily from laptop productivity to tablet fun,” said Philip Osako, senior director of product marketing, Toshiba America Information Systems, in a statement. “With a stunning Full HD display that easily detaches as a tablet, plus exclusive features that enhance the Windows 10 experience, this device is perfect for someone always on the go.”
The battery life is more than seven hours. The laptop is available now for preorder at online retailers and Toshiba’s web site for $350 and up.
