Karabakh army commander, OSCE envoy meet ahead of monitoring

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army Commander, Lieutenant-General Levon Mnatsakanyan met Wednesday, November 4 with the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the situation and current developments on the line of contact, dwelling upon the monitoring of the contact line scheduled for Thursday.

Armenian and Karabakh Foreign Ministers, Edward Nalbandian and Karen Mirzoyan met with Kasprzyk Wednesday to discuss the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs’ visit to the South Caucasus region.

At the meeting, the Ministers slammed Azerbaijan’s ceasefire violation during the OSCE monitoring as a blatant ploy to undermine efforts for peaceful settlement of the conflict.

According to the NKR Defense Ministry, 60 ceasefire violations by Azerbaijani armed forces were registered in the reporting period, with over 1000 shots fired from various caliber artillery weapons, as well as 82-mm mortars (7 shells).
