In the photo, Aniston's character wears a loose grey top and a pair of boot cut jeans as she talks to someone on the street. The upcoming movie follows two young soldiers (Tye Sheridan and Alden Ehrenreich) who are sent to fight in the Gulf War and become best friends. The two then form an unbreakable bond and vow to keep each other safe. However, they find the promise is hard to keep as they navigate a war where casual atrocity is a daily occurrence. Jack Huston stars as Sgt. Sterling, an older officer who takes the two young men under his wing. Earlier on Friday, December 11, the film added Toni Collette and Jason Patric to its cast. Collette will play the mother of another soldier who returns from war with a secret that has forever changed him. As for Patric, he will portray Capt. Anderson. Courtney Solomon and Mark Canton will finance and produce the movie under their Cinelou Films banner. "We are thrilled that we've been able to sign on so many accomplished actors to this project. From the moment we first read David Lowery's script, we knew 'The Yellow Birds' was a film that we wanted to make," said Solomon. Directed by Alexandre Moors, the movie is expected to arrive in North America in 2016.
