LG’s new robot vacuum doubles as home security cameraDecember 22, 2015 - 10:36 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - LG is the latest tech firm to try its hand at a cleaning droid, but the Hom-Bot Turbo+ is no ordinary robot vacuum, Digital Spy reports. The device also doubles as a home security camera, beaming images back to the user's smartphone if movement is detected during its chores. LG also claims that the Turbo+ is the first robot vacuum to come equipped with a quasi-augmented reality function that allows users to guide it to a specific part of the room by pointing their smartphone at the desired spot. The South Korean firm will showcase the cleaning droid alongside two standard vacuums as part of its CordZero range at CES 2016 in January. "The powerful new technologies found on the latest LG CordZero products represent our commitment to innovation and providing customers with a better life through better products," said LG's home appliances chief Jo Seong-jin. "The smarter, more convenient lifestyle offered by LG's CordZero collection will appeal to every consumer and contribute to elevating LG's position as a leader in the home appliance market."
