EURO 2008: UEFA will decide the meeting place of Armenian and Azeri national teams

PanARMENIAN.Net - The meeting place between the Armenian and Azeri national football teams in the framework of European Championship 2008 selection stage will be determined by UEFA Executive Committee. The representatives of both countries could not come to a conclusion on the issue. Now the decision will be made till mid of February by UEFA Executive Committee. "The Armenian side repeatedly has stated that it is ready to play with the Azeri team in Armenia. But Azerbaijan insists on playing with the Armenian team on a neutral field, since it cannot provide security for Armenian players," commented a source from Armenian Football Federation on the situation to the agency, RIA 'Novosti' reports.
