Azerbaijan breaks truce, spreads misinformation on Karabakh conflict

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani armed forces violated the truce on the night of March 16-17, firing over 400 shots from various caliber firearms, the Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army says.

Karabakh army units refrained from retaliating and continue controlling the situation on the contact line.

The Azerbaijani side keeps escalating the situation in the conflict zone, spreading misinformation on the Armenian forces’ alleged shelling of civilian houses and schools, Karabakh says.

Artsakh Defense Army assures that these allegations are provocative misinformation, seeking to further escalate the situation. Karabakh army abstains from risking civilian settlements and objects amid military operations, retaliating against the rival’s actions only in case of extreme necessity.

Azerbaijani armed forces violated the truce on the night of March 15-16, firing around 700 shots from various caliber firearms.
