Tension along Armenia-Azerbaijan border scales down

PanARMENIAN.Net - Tension on the northeastern section of Armenia-Azerbaijan border decreased on the night of April 9-10, with several bursts of fire by the Azerbaijani side, however, registered.

No shooting has been recorded on the Armenia-Nakhijevan border.

The Armenian Armed Forces' frontline units confidently control the situation on the border and show restraint, retaliating only in case of extreme necessity.

The agreement on the cessation of fire was mainly observed on the night of April 9-10, with the Azerbaijani forces, however, using an 82-mm mortar and a 122-mm D-30 howitzer in the northern section of the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh.

Karabakh troops stay committed to the agreement on the cessation of fire and continue controlling the situation on the contact line.
