Following the April 5 verbal agreement on the ceasefire, Azerbaijan’s policy clearly shows that Baku deliberately escalates the situation with provocative actions on the one hand, and hurries to put the blame on the Armenian side on the other, Karabakh Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Notably, to reach its goal, Azerbaijan uses the most lethal weapons it possesses. Hiding behind the civilian population, the Azerbaijani authorities proceed with their dirty work, Karabakh said.

“Given the current situation, the Nagorno Karabakh Defense Ministry advised Azerbaijan to respect the verbal agreement on the ceasefire, reached by Baku’s request, also warning against turning civilian settlements into military positions. Otherwise, the Azerbaijani military-political authorities bear the whole responsibility for the consequences,” the statement went on to say.
