Armenia, Iran defense chiefs agree no military solution possible in Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan on Wednesday, April 27 met with Iran’s defense chief Hossein Dehghan on the sidelines of the Moscow-hosted conference on international security.

As the Armenian Defense Ministry reports, the parties expressed concern over tensions in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone, stressing the importance of de-escalation and establishment of atmosphere of mutual understanding.

According to both sides, the recent four-day war in Karabakh proved the impossibility of a military settlement of the conflict.

Also in the limelight of the meeting were cooperation between the two ministries and related issues.
