  Turkey may hold snap parliamentary election: Erdogan advisor May 6, 2016 - 12:55 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey doesn’t rule out a snap parliamentary election, Cemil Ertem, advisor to the country's president, told the NTV channel on Friday May 6, Trend reports. Aydin Unal, an MP from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) said earlier that the new prime minister and chairman of the party won't be as influential as the current PM Ahmet Davutoglu. Davutoglu said that he will not run for the party chairman. Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan earlier said the decision to hold the AKP extraordinary congress was made by Davutoglu. The latter, however, denied Erdogan's remarks. The Minister of Transport, Maritime and Communication Binali Yildirim, Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdag, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Berat Albayrak, Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus, and the ruling party's vice chairman Mehmet Ali Sahin are among the candidates for the AKP leader.
