In particular, 555.000 liters of whiskey were produced in the first four months this year, which is three times as much as the figure registered a year earlier (187.200 liters). Wine production grew by 13.4% to around 2.06 million liters, while that of brandy increased by 49.3% to over 5 million liters in the reporting period. The production of vodka-liqueurs and beer, on the contrary, dropped by 9.4% and 8.6%, respectively. In Q1 of 2016, 17.1 million liters of soft drinks were produced, down by 10.6%.
