OVER 40% OF RESPONDENTS OF "VOX POPULI" COME FOR REPEAL OF DEATH PENALTY IN ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - 40.5% of interviewees came for repeal of death penalty in Armenia in the survey held by "Vox Populi" Center for studying public opinion, 37.7% were for capital punishment and 21.8% found it difficult to answer. The Center press release says that 41.2% of the respondents consider that the National Assembly of Armenia will resolve to abrogate death penalty in the country, 15.5% hold the opposite opinion, and 43.3% - could not answer. According to the same poll, having been asked whether the Armenian President Robert Kocharian is for repeal of death penalty in Armenia, 46.5% answered affirmatively, 12.5% did not agree with it and 41% found it difficult to answer.
