German parliamentarians concerned about Karabakh's future status

PanARMENIAN.Net - A group of Bundestag members requested the federal government to state official Berlin's stance on establishment of peace and stability in the South Caucasus. The inquiry includes 30 questions referring to various aspects of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Echo Baku-based newspaper reports.

Bundestag members proposed the government to give an assessment to Germany's relations with Azerbaijan and Armenia and issue exact stance on the key aspects of the Karabakh conflict. The document was submitted to the government on behalf of 7 parliamentarians on March 30, 2007.

As to the future status of Karabakh, they propose several variants: Nagorno Karabakh as a part of Azerbaijan with wide autonomy status or appliance of Kosovo model with partial or complete independence.
