FilmRise acquires James Franco heist thriller “The Vault”

PanARMENIAN.Net - FilmRise has acquired all North American distribution rights to Redwire Pictures and Content Media’s supernatural heist thriller “The Vault”, starring James Franco, Francesca Eastwood, Scott Haze, and Taryn Manning, Variety reports.

Dan Bush directed the film from an original screenplay he co-wrote with Conal Byrne. FilmRise plans to release the film theatrically in the U.S. in the second quarter of 2017.

Content Media is handling sales for the film at the American Film Market.

Redwire Pictures’ Luke Daniels and Content Media’s head of production Tom Butterfield produced “The Vault” along with Tunnel Post’s Allen Pao.

Eastwood and Manning play estranged sisters, while Haze portrays their troubled brother. The sisters are forced to rob a bank in order to save their brother who burned down a warehouse owned by a notorious gangster. Franco plays an assistant bank manager who promises to help put the sisters back on track in return for a percentage of their take.

“We are thrilled to be releasing ‘The Vault,” a terrifying thriller that is sure to keep audiences on the edge of their seats,” said FilmRise CEO Danny Fisher. “Performances across the board are exceptional, including James Franco and Taryn Manning.”
