Baku may buy shares of Georgia's GOGC that delivers gas to Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR is ready to consider obtaining shares of the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC), if the sale is officially announced, Trend cited a SOCAR source as saying.

GOGC is the operator of the North-South pipeline, via which Russian gas is delivered to Georgia and Armenia.

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili told a parliament meeting earlier that the legislative body is ready to sell 25 percent of each of the assets of the state-owned companies – Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation and Georgian Railways.
