The video which features the voice of children reciting the Pledge of Allegiance was debuted on Friday, January 20, the same day Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th U.S. president, AceShowbiz said. The video doesn't share actual footage from the upcoming season, but shows an upside down flag which waves in front of the White House. It was posted on the show's official Twitter account along with a threatening message, "We make the terror." The tagline is a reference to the line Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) delivered at the end of season 4. The fifth season of the critically-acclaimed political drama is set to premiere May 30 on Netflix. Not much is known regarding the storyline, but Francis and Claire Underwood (Robin Wright), "characters (that) have always been each other's strongest allies, show cracks in their relationship." Melissa James Gibson and Frank Pugliese, who joined the show as writers on season 3, serve as showrunners for season 5, replacing series creator Beau Willimon.
