Karabakh frontline situation tenser than usual, army says

PanARMENIAN.Net - The situation on the contact line between Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh was tenser overnight on February 3-4 than in previous nights.

More than 50 ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani army were registered in the reporting period, the Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army said.

Azeri troops, in particular, employed various caliber firearms, 60- and 82-mm mortars, AGS-17 grenade launchers to fire around 250 shots.

The Karabakh Defense Army forces continued protecting their positions, retaliating only in case of extreme necessity.

The frontline is relatively calm at the moment.

More than 30 ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani army were registered on the contact line the night before.
