In the nearest future, a special intergovernmental group on Caucasus issues including Armenian, Azeri, Georgian and Russian deputies will be established. This decision was made at the Tbilisi meeting of the "Caucasian Four"- the leaders of the parliaments of these states. The speakers of the parliaments considered the current situation in the region as well as their meeting with the Georgian president Eduard Shevardnadze took place. According to the members of the Azeri parliamentary delegation, the agreement on such systematic meetings to seek the ways of settling the regional conflicts and developing the intergovernmental relations was reached at the Tbilisi talks. It is planned that such meetings of the leaders of the parliaments of the South Caucasian states will take place at least four times a year, in the capitals of Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia by turns.
