U.S author Peter Balakian honored with Movses Khorenatsi medal
Armenian Ambassador to the U.S. Tatoul Margarian, on behalf of the Armenian President, honored renowned U.S. writer and publicist, professor of Colgate University Peter Balakian with Movses Khorenatsi medal.
"Peter Balakian has done much for the Armenian Genocide recognition," the Ambassador said at the awarding ceremony.
For his part, Mr Balakian said work should be carried out for maintaining historical evidence and raising public awareness of the first Genocide of the 20th century, the RA MFA press office reported.
Peter Balakian is the author of famous "The Burning Tigris: The Armenian Genocide and America's Response" that was called the Year's Bestseller by the The New York Times.
