ARMENIAN ATOMIC POWER PLANT CAN SECURELY FUNCTION UNTIL 2016, ARMENIAN SPECIALISTS CONSIDER

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian atomic power plant can securely function until 2016, that is up to the spot when the term of its exploitation is over. Vice-Chairman of the Republic of Armenia energy commission Nikolay Grigorian stated it. In his opinion, there is no alternative to the atomic plant before that time. Much attention is paid to the Armenian nuclear plant security, and similar stations are now normally functioning on the entire CIS territory, he noted. Atomic energy makes 40% of the overall electric power being produced in the republic, Grigorian emphasized.
