Cooperative Longbow/Lancer 2008 NATO exercise to kick off September 15

PanARMENIAN.Net - Cooperative Longbow/Lancer 2008 NATO exercise will kick off in Armenia on September 15.



"We have carried out a great deal of work and coordinated the basic issues," deputy chief of the RA armed forces general staff, major general Arshaluys Paytyan said when opening the planning conference in Yerevan today. "Ten officers representing NATO land forces in Heidelberg visited Armenia in April. We discussed the assistance Armenia should receive as a host country," he said.



Thanking the counterparts for assistance in organization of the conference, major general Paytyan voiced confidence that the exercise will be conducted on the highest level.
