Syrian army uncovers massive tunnel in Damascus

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Syrian Arab Army uncovered a massive tunnel inside the western part of Damascus on Thursday, January 24, Al-Masdar News says.

According to a report from the capital city, the Syrian Arab Army was combing through the city of Darayya when they uncovered a massive tunnel that was dug by the rebel forces that once controlled the area.

The report said that the tunnel stretched for more than 600 meters and was used for transporting and storing weapons by the rebel forces.

The Syrian Arab Army has since placed explosives inside the tunnel and detonated them in order to prevent future use of it.
