Incident between Armenians and Azerbaijanis reported in Toronto

PanARMENIAN.Net - An incident occured between Azerbaijanis and Armenians in Toronto on August 1, the Armenian Embassy in Canada said in a statement on Facebook.

"The Embassy strongly condemns the policy adopted by Azerbaijanis to incite incidents," the statement reads.

"We once again call on our compatriots to be vigilant and not to give in to any provocation."

The situation on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan escalated on July 12, with Azerbaijan launching several unsuccessful infiltration attempts throughout the next week. The Azerbaijani military also used artillery and combat drones to target civilian homes in several border settlements in Armenia. Five servicemen of the Armenian army were killed, while Azerbaijan reported 12 deaths. In recent days, though, the situation has been relatively calm.

Since the beginning of the escalation, Azerbaijanis have been inciting unrest in the various part of the world and attacking Armenians and cars with Armenian license plates.
