ARMENIAN AND RUSSIAN SPECIAL SERVICES HEADS HOLD CONSULTATION IN YEREVAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - To hold a join consultation with the leading staff of the bodies of the national security of Armenia, the delegation of the Federal security service of Russia led by the FSS director, general of the Army Nikolay Patrushev arrived in Yerevan July 23. As "Arka" has been reported in the department of public relations of the RA National Security Ministry, the most urgent issues are on the agenda. They include the struggle against the international terror and illegal migration, economic security of the two states, systematic exchange of information regarding the issues of political interests of the two states and issues of energy and nuclear safety of Russia and Armenia. The press release stresses that the expediency of the active cooperation is dictated with the complexity of the geopolitical issues in Transcaucasia. "The strategic objectives of the special services-partners are peace and stability keeping in the region, consolidation of friendship and cooperation based on mutual interests and responsibility for the future of our people", the press release states. It should be noted, during the visit, the meeting of Patrushev with Armenian president Robert Kocharian is expected.
