Armenian officer missing after getting lost in bad weather

PanARMENIAN.Net - Officer of the Armenian army Gurgen Alaverdyan went missing after he left his post to inspect the check post during bad weather on Saturday, August 22, Defense Ministry spokeswoman Shushan Stepanyan said in a Facebook post on Sunday.

The Azerbaijani side had claimed that the Armenian officer had been taken prisoner after a failed sabotage.

Stepanyan noted that the statement disseminated by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry about the sabotage is disinformation.
