Armenian Foreign Minister visits Greek church in Cairo

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan visited the Church of St. George, a Greek Orthodox church within the Babylon Fortress in Coptic Cairo on Monday, September 14.

According to Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Anna Naghdalyan, Mnatsakanyan toured the church to learn more about its history.

As part of his official visit to Egypt, the Foreign Minister earlier stopped by Saint Gregory The Illuminator Armenian Apostolic Church in Cairo.

Mnatsakanyan also met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria.
