Azeri rockets land on Karabakh's Stepanakert, Shushi, injuring civiliansOctober 31, 2020 - 11:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Azerbaijani military fired missiles on the Nagorno-Karabakh capital of Stepanakert and the city of Shushi in the early hours of Saturday, October 31, injuring civilians. The fresh attacks came hours after Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers met in Geneva and agreed to not deliberately target civilian populations or non-military objects in accordance with international humanitarian law. The residents of both cities woke up to the sound of missiles hitting their homes in Nagorno-Karabakh on Saturday morning.
In Stepanakert, the central market was partially destroyed, causing great material damage to the civilian population.
The next explosion left a house in ruins, partially damaging several apartments as well.
No casualties have been reported in the capital.
The city of Shushi was attacked a little later, with civilians reported injured in the fire. Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey and Syrian and Libyan mercenaries deployed by Ankara, started a war against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27.
