Azerbaijani troops thrown back after unsuccessful offensive in the east

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani forces attempted to launch a new offensive in the eastern direction of the Nagorno-Karabakh frontline, using armored vehicles on Thursday, November 5 morning.

"As a result of the competent actions of the Defense Army units and reservists, the enemy was thrown back, leaving one armored vehicle, one truck, a large amount of manpower on the battlefield," the Defense Army said.

The Karabakh troops continue controlling the situation on the front.

Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey and terrorist mercenaries deployed by Ankara, started a war against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. Foreign and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages.
