At least 20 Il-76 military transport planes with officers of the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces and servicemen of the 15th peacekeeping brigade have landed in Armenia, the ministry said. About 2,000 servicemen, 90 armored personnel carriers, as well as 380 units of automobile and special equipment will be transferred to the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to carry out the peacekeeping mission. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Russian observation posts will be located along the contact line in Nagorno-Karabakh and along the Lachin corridor connecting Armenia and Karabakh. The command of the operation will be located in or near Stepanakert. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev have signed a deal to end the war in Karabakh.
