Armenia: President sacks Minister of Education, names new one

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Armen Sarkissian has relieved Arayik Harutyunyan of his post as the country's Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.

With another decree signed on Monday, November 23, Sarkissian has appointed Vahram Dumanyan in the post.

A lecturer at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Yerevan State University, Harutyunyan took office in 2018.

Dumanyan, meanwhile, is the Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics of YSU.
