Over 11,000 Karabakh residents return home within 10 days

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian peacekeepers have ensured the safe return home of over 11,000 residents of Nagorno-Karabakh since November 14, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported Wednesday, November 25.

The Russian peacekeepers ensure the safety of civilian vehicles along the Lachin corridor in Karabakh. They also help local authorities in restoring civilian life, traffic, electricity, water and heat supply in social facilities and residential buildings, while their patrols accompany vehicles that carry food and essentials to remote settlements.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev on November 9 signed a statement to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days. Under the deal, the Armenian side is returning all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
