Former MEP publishes map of historic Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Former Member of the European Parliament, Cypriot politician Eleni Theocharous has shared a map of historic Armenia bordering the Black Sea, the Caspian Sea and the Mediterranean, captioning: "These are the historical borders of Armenia!"

"Despite the tensions of the last weeks, absolute calm prevailed today on the Greek-Armenian border," the former lawmaker joked in another post with the same map.

Against the background of the strained relations between Greece and Turkey, pro-Armenian statements are often heard from both Greece and Cyprus. Turkey has voiced ambitions in the East Mediterranean, which Greece considers part of its sovereign territory.
