Bodies of 35 more servicemen, one civilian recovered in Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - The bodies of additional 35 servicemen and one Armenian civilian were recovered from the regions of Fizuli, Jebrail and Hadrut, Nagorni-Karabakh's emergency services agency reports, according to Armenpress.

The body of an elderly woman was discovered in the village of Vardashat, Hadrut region, raising the number of bodies retrieved since November 10 to 969.

On Friday, December 18, search and rescue operations are continuing in Nerkin Chartar, Fizuli, Jebrail, Kashatagh and Ishkhanatsor, Karabakh authorities said, with the involvement of the parents and family members of the missing persons.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev on November 9 signed a statement to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days. Under the deal, the Armenian side has returned all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
