Sumgait massacre victims commemorated in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - ARF Dashnaktsutyun has initiated a march to the Armenian Genocide Memorial on Saturday to lay wreaths to the Khachkar commemorating the victims of Sumgait massacre.

"Azerbaijan is enjoying impunity and keeps on circulating lies in the international organizations, representing the real victim as an aggressor," said Armen Rustamian, head of the parliamentary committee on external relations.

The Armenian pogroms in Sumgait on February 26-29, 1988 were the first outburst of ethnic violence in the modern soviet history.
