Armenia receives 30 tons of humanitarian aid from Germany

PanARMENIAN.Net - A German Defense Ministry plane transported 30 tons of humanitarian aid to Yerevan on Monday, January 25, to support those affected from the recent war in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The assistance was organized in close cooperation with the Armenian Embassy in Germany, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Germany and the country's Silva Kaputikyan Union of Armenian Women.

The humanitarian assistance mainly includes medicine, medical equipment, and necessity goods. In addition, two minibuses equipped with proper mobility aids were delivered to the rehabilitation center of Stepanakert, Karabakhs' capital.

The first batch of humanitarian assistance from Germany arrived in Armenia back in early November. Also, Germany has provided €2 million to the ICRC, the German Red Cross has allocated €200,000 to the Armenian Red Cross, while the federal government has allocated €300,000 through the GIZ office in Yerevan.
