Karabakh army ex-commander will head Armenia Military Control Service

PanARMENIAN.Net - Former Commander of the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) Defense Army, Lieutenant General Jalal Harutyunyan has been appointed the Head of the Military Control Service of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, Aysor.am reports.

One month into the 44-day war in fall 2020, the president of Artsakh announced that Harutyunyan was relieved of his position after being wounded in fighting.

The next day on October 28, the Karabakh president announced his decision to grant Jalal Harutyunyan the title of the Hero of Artsakh.

He was discharged from hospital, where he was receiving treatment after his injury, in early December.
