Armenia eliminating grades in first 5.5 years of school

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian government decided on Thursday, February 4 to eliminate grades in the first 5.5 years of studying in school.

In elementary school, the final assessment of kids will be carried out by describing the learner's educational achievements. There will be no unsatisfactory marks in the 10-point grading system, and each grade will be considered as progress.

According to Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan, the new system will focus equally on knowledge, skills, approaches and values.
