Armenia NSS warns against actions threatening national security

PanARMENIAN.Net - The National Security Service of Armenia warned against activity that may threaten national security.

"We call upon citizens to not succumb to provocations, to maintain law and order and be vigilant. The state administration bodies are fulfilling their functions," the NSS said in a statement Thursday, February 25.

The NSS stressed that provocations can threaten the security of Armenia and any such steps could be considered as aimed at weakening the state.

The country is facing a serious political crisis after the top military brass demanded Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's resignation. The PM, however, claims he had already dismissed the chief of the Army General Staff. The parliamentary opposition has already weighed in on the matter, urging against bloodshed and calling for a peaceful transition of power.
