European Council President visits Armenian Genocide memorial

PanARMENIAN.Net - Charles Michel, President of the European Council, has visited the Armenian Genocide memorial in Yerevan, he said in a tweet.

"I have paid homage at Tsitsernakaberd to Armenian victims," Michel wrote. "We stand by Armenia and all countries in the region to build a common and prosperous future for their populations."

Michel has arrived in Armenia for a two-day trip. He has already met with Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the two have delivered statements to the media to sum up the talks.

The President of the European Council will also meet with the President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian.
