China says ready to deepen multifaceted relations with Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has expressed readiness to deepen multifaceted relations with Armenia. In a letter sent to Armenia's newly-appointed Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Wang described the two countries as traditionally friendly partners.

"Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, active contacts at various levels have been ensured, practical cooperation and partnership has been steadily promoted in the international arena, the healthy and stable dynamics of Sino-Armenian relations have been consistently maintained," Wang said in his message.

"Together with you, I am ready to strengthen the communication and cooperation between our departments, to deepen the multifaceted cooperation in order to raise the Sino-Armenian relations to a new level of development."

Mirzoyan was appointed the Foreign Minister of Armenia on August 19. The post had been vacant since late May, when Ara Aivazian resigned from the position, in the aftermath of the 44-day war in Nagorno-Karabakh.
