California Armenian Church vandalized; police investigatingSeptember 24, 2021 - 10:52 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The St. Peter Armenian Church in California has been vandalized, according to information and photos shared by the church on social media. “Late last night, a masked individual broke eight of our sanctuary’s stained glass windows, adjacent to the main street of Sherman Way. There is significant amount of stained glass implosion on the church’s property," the church said on Thursday, September 23. "There has also been vandalism done to the sign of the neighboring church on our property. No one has been harmed. The LAPD Headquarters is actively investigating this tragic incident."
The church noted that the Parish Priest and the Parish Council are taking immediate measures to secure and protect St. Peter Armenian Church. The church property has video surveillance, but the footage cannot be released at this time, as there is an active police investigation taking place.
