Pashinyan wants more advanced Armenia-China relations

PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan believes Armenian-Chinese relations have a great potential for further development. Pashinyan made the remarks in a letter sent to Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council (Prime Minister) of China on the 72nd anniversary of the founding of the country Friday, October 1.

"Our countries are united by the positive experience of working together and cooperating on international platforms. In the recent period of the fight against Covid-19, China provided assistance to many countries, including Armenia, for which we are deeply grateful," Pashinyan said.

"It should be noted with satisfaction that even in the face of epidemic-linked restrictions, a significant increase in our trade turnover has been recorded, which indicates that the Armenian-Chinese relations have great potential for further development. I am full of hope that with firm steps we can advance our partnership for the sake of our peoples and safe and secure future."

Pashinyan also sent a congratulatory message to Chinese President Xi Jinping, saying that China, as an important actor in international relations, contributes to the global development agenda and is one of Armenia's primary partners.

"We can confidently state that on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, we have succeeded in bringing our cooperation in political, economic and cultural spheres to an important point," he said.
